<P>Reds add third catcher with Pena</P>

<P>The Cincinnati Reds bolstered their bench on Friday when they signed catcher Brayan Pena to a two year deal, pending a physical.</P>
<P></P>
<P>The 31 year old Pena has been in the league since 2005, but has seen his playing time increase to at least 60 games a season in 2009. Last year with Detroit he had a career high 229 plate appearances and hit a career best .297 while adding four homers and 22 RBI.</P>

<P>He has spent time with Atlanta and Kansas City, but most recently filled in for Alex Avila while he spent time on the disabled list. Pena will not be confused with a Gold Glove catcher. Last Cheap Replica Sunglasses season he had five passed balls which was as many as Matt Weiters who played in 76 games than Pena.</P>

<P>The move now places three catchers on the Michael Kors Cheap Reds roster with both Devin Mesoraco and Ryan Hanigan both signed at least through next season. Mesoraco took a majority of the playing time this season with 97 appearances this season, but had five errors and four passed balls.</P>

<P>FOX Sports MLB insider is also reporting that Hanigan could be on the move this offseason. Mesoraco has shown improved plate discipline and is also expected to make less money as he is still not eligible for arbitration.</P>

<P>Offensively neither Reds catcher delivered on a regular basis. Mesoraco hit .238 with nine homers and 42 RBI while Hanigan hit just .198 with two homers and 21 RBI. In just 17 games, Cheap Michael Kors third catcher Corky Miller hit .257 with five doubles and eight RBI. Miller refused his assignment to Louisville and has opted for free agency.</P>
